Continued increase in global production and consumption of polymeric and petrochemical materials in the last two decades has resulted in vast and widespread academic and industrial research activities, particularly in the field of polyolefins. To cover these advances in research and technology, in a comprehensive and systematic fashion, Iran Polymer and Petrochemical institute, IPPI, has started to launch “Polyolefins Journal (POJ)”, an international, open access, free of publication chargespeer reviewed and multidisciplinary publication in English. This journal is following of "Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)".

The “Polyolefins Journal” accepts original research and review/mini-review articles, short communications as well as technical reports on major technological breakthroughs in all areas of polyolefins for publication, including:

  • Olefins synthesis and characterization
  • Polymerization methods of olefins
  • Catalysts for polyolefin production
  • Kinetics and mechanism of polymerization
  • Characterization and processing of polyolefins
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Structure-property relationship
  • Polyolefins degradation
  • Other related subjects

Influence of heat treatment on the mechanical, thermal and thermophysical properties of low-density polyethylene

Derradji Dadache; Farid Rouabah; Zahir Rahem

Volume 12, Issue 4 , December 2025, Pages 241-250

https://doi.org/10.22063/poj.2025.35741.1368

Abstract
This study demonstrates that quenching and annealing significantly influence the mechanical and thermophysical behavior of low density polyethylene (LDPE). Rapid quenching at temperature of –25 °C enhances ductility by increasing elongation at break, despite reducing thermophysical properties, ...  Read More
